Maria do Carmo Miranda da Cunha GOIH • OMC (Marco de Canaveses, February 9, 1909 – Beverly Hills, August 5, 1955), known professionally as Carmen Miranda, was a Portuguese-born Brazilian singer, dancer, and actress who attained fame in Brazil and the US in the 1930s.
